Alliance Convention Center set to host United Way Taste of Alamance event


United Way Taste of AlamanceBURLINGTON, N.C. – The Alliance Convention Center will host The United Way of Alamance County Taste of Alamance event on April 24, featuring tasty foods from all over Alamance County with more than 30 vendors slated to serve up offerings.

Attendees will be served appetizers, entrees, beverages for kids and adults and of course desserts! In addition to the food, guests will be entertained with music and a photo booth to help make the event even better.

The event features two parts: a luncheon and an evening segment. The event is designed to give back to the community and will feature former Baltimore Ravens center Jason Brown, who played collegiately at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brown, who is a farmer, will share his inspirational story of why he walked away from a lucrative contract in the NFL to own and operate his farm in eastern North Carolina to help reduce and eliminate hunger issues in that part of the state.

Select chefs will display their cooking talents and have generously donated their skill and time to help The United Way of Alamance County. The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and costs $50 per ticket or $500 for a table of 10 people.

The evening food rodeo is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 24. The evening rodeo includes more than 30 food and beverage vendors. Participants will have the chance to walk around and taste the food and drinks from all the Alamance County eateries. Tickets cost $30 per adult and $15 per child (ages 6-12).

The Alliance Convention Center (ACC) offers 13,000 square feet of space, which can accommodate more than 900 guests.
